New CCDE Bootcamp Dates for London, UK

Today we have announced the new CCDE Bootcamp Dates for 2010:

CCDE Written (5 Days)
Location: West London
Dates: October 11, 2010 & November 29, 2010

CCDE Practical (5 Days)
Location: West London
Dates: September 6, 2010 & December 6, 2010

We look forward to welcome you on our CCDE Training Classes in London.

After an unprecedented response to our recent CCDE competition, the wait is finally over.
The competition for the free place was extremely high, with entries being received from all over the globe.

Draw Results:

  • 910 individuals entered the draw since January 29th. 2010
  • 110 entries didn’t meet the prerequisites
(ie. they were only CCNAs or had no Cisco experience at all). In accordance to our T’s and C’s those have been excluded.)
  • 50 entries haven’t accepted the T’s and C’s and have therefore been excluded.

All eligible 750 remaining entries have then been printed out, were folded into small pieces and were put into a plastic box. The plastic box was shaken numerous times and our Operations Co-ordinator Emma Lewin has drawn the lucky winner. The procedure was supervised by a 3rd. party (Mr. Tom Robertson, an independent business owner of Factory Gyms in Edinburgh, UK).

We are pleased to announce our lucky winner as:

Mr. Sean Crocker from Time Warner Cable in the U.S.

As promised, Sean Crocker will now have the choice of attending any one of our world class 5 day CCDE written or lab classes in 2010.

We realise that a lot of you who entered the competition are going to be extremely disappointed not to have won but unfortunately there could only be one winner!

However, in recognition of the fact that so many of you are keen to get the CCDE certification under your belts, we have now decided to contact each and every one of you within the next few days with a one-time, exclusive special offer which we hope will help soften the blow, so please look out for the email.

Thank you all again for your interest and especially for your participation. Everyone at ProNetExpert wishes you all the very best with your future career aspirations and if we can be of help to you on your road to success, then we’d be delighted to hear from you!

Best Regards,
Your ProNetExpert Team

Last week we ran our 4th CCDE Written Training Course in London and we received very good feedback from our students once again. This time, our students mainly came from Cisco Channel Partners in the UK. In order to guarantee highest quality, we had to stop taking bookings after the 10th confirmed delegate. Our April CCDE Training in London is already filling up fast again. Out of our 10 students, 5 straight took the CCDE Written (352-001 exam) after the class finished on friday afternoon and all 5 who tried it have passed. We think that speaks for itself.

Our aim in our CCDE Written courses is not only to prepare the candidates for the CCDE Practical Boot Camp, but also to make sure, that everyone is at the same technical level prior to preparing for the practical CCDE exam. What we have seen so far, is that although most attendees are senior network designers, they focus on different areas within network design. Most of the campus and data centre designers unfortunately have little knowledge on Carrier’s Carrier MPLS architectures and likewise, some of the senior ISP designers have never designed a data centre with FWSM virtualisation. However we ensure that our candidates are being prepared well in all blueprint areas.

We look forward to see you on one of our CCDE Courses in London, Chicago or Dubai very soon.

If you want to get an insight into the minds of the authors of the CCDE Lab exam, the following digital ebook is a must read: CCDE Quick Reference

Although it is officially only for the CCDE written preparation, we highly recommend it to read through it prior to the practical exam as well. It’s concise, down to the point and especially the Routed Design Theory and the Topology Design Theory are very important in relation to the CCDE Practical Exam as well.

After successfully filling the february and march CCDE Training seats in London & Chicago, we have today released our new CCDE Training schedule. We have taken particular care to run them prior to the next CCDE Practical exam dates, which we suppose to be in the middle of june 2010.

CCDE Practical Exam Simulator

You have surely seen the CCDE Practical Exam Simulator on Cisco’s website which gives you a look and feel on how the actual CCDE Practical Exam looks like. Many CCDE delegates have been trying to figure out the right solutions by running through it again and again.

Our instructor, Radu Hambasan, has scored 100% in his first try when the CCDE Exam Simulation was released. I had a chat to him last night and he mentions that it is really about the “why” behind designs. That’s why he has passed the CCDE Practical Exam at his first attempt.

In all our CCDE Practical Boot Camps, Radu will also go through the CCDE Exam simulator and will explain why he has chosen one answer over the other. His major objective during our CCDE Bootcamps is that delgates learn to analytically think like Radu himself and benefit from his long Network Design experience with large companies.

ProNetExpert are proud to announce that our popular CCDE Training Courses are now also being offered in Dubai, UAE. This is in accordance to the large number of enquiries we have received from the Middle East Region recently. In order to satisfy the increasing demand in the Arab World, we have chosen Dubai as a central location to offer both CCDE Written & CCDE Practical Training. Please check our website at www.ccdebootcamp.com for Dubai dates.

Hi all,

we received a couple of questions last week in regards to the practical CCDE exam structure. Many of you who have done the CCIE, know very well, that the CCIE is all about doing it “the Cisco way”. However the CCDE exam is different. There is a very good video on youtube from one of the CCDE exam authors – Russ White.

You need to listen to every sentence very carefully, as like with politicians, every word and sentence has a distinct meaning. Russ White mentions that the CCDA and CCDP certifications are pretty much geared around Cisco especially, whereas the CCDE is more about Network Design principles in general (sometimes, but not always the Cisco way).

Here the youtube video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xlmf0wgkbVk

Also we would like to point out that pure text book knowledge is not sufficient to pass the exam. In our CCDE Bootcamp we cover the Design principles extensively.

Our instructor Radu Hambasan, doesn’t teach any classes other than the CCDE, because he works also as a real-world Design Consultant. A pure instructor can’t tell you about the real world and the challenges in commercial environments, as all they usually know is their labs and the slides they present. A CCDE Training can only be taught by someone who has extensive real world Design experience.
